Britten-Norman Continues to Innovate With New Aerotrac Integration
January 31, 2020 | Posted by: Steve Clack | Category: Latest News
Britten-Norman has integrated the newest version of Tracware’s Aerotrac software across all of the UK manufacturing, design and customer service sites.
Aerotrac is an off-the-shelf software solution specifically designed to align and manage the unique business processes and workflows of the aerospace industry.
Having recently undergone extensive developmental advancements, the newly updated software will play an integral role in Britten-Norman’s ability to streamline day-to-day outputs as part of a larger IT infrastructure transformation.
Britten-Norman CEO William Hynett reiterated Aerotrac’s value in supporting the company’s commitment to continued innovation in an ever-evolving aviation industry.
“In the Islander we have an established and revered product line whose simplicity of design has endured since 1965. However, innovation remains very important to us and we achieve this through the customisation of our products and services.
“Aerotrac is one key component in achieving innovation and we have already seen vast improvements in providing a faster service/delivery time to our customers and better processes for our staff.
“Importantly, Aerotrac also brings us one step closer to our goal of a 100% online ordering system in the very near future.”
“We are extremely proud to count Britten-Norman as a customer for over 15 years. The process control software we provide has evolved significantly since its first iteration in 1999 and that’s directly thanks to the ongoing collaboration and input of valued long-term customers like Britten-Norman,” said Andy Maley, managing director of Tracware.
“With the completion of this upgrade to the newest version of Aerotrac, we are happy to deliver the latest digital tools required to analyse critical data and make fully informed maintenance planning decisions.”
Other IT upgrades for Britten-Norman are set to be announced, including those that will support our design processes and the support of our Aircraft Document Set.
